1. Blog about something popular or in demand. Take some time to carefully go through the themes and pick out something that is not too "busy," and has a nice layout and colors. You are going to want to place ads later so keep that in mind. If it looks too spammy you will lose traffic and people will not stay to read your blog.
3. Avoid using a free blog service. I have seen it happen too many times to count where someone puts in tons of work on a free blogging platform and all of a sudden their blog is removed for some reason or another. Buy a domain name and host the blog yourself on your domain. If you are not technical it may sound scary, but it is very easy. There are many tutorials online that can guide you easily through the steps, and as well there are many great blogging courses. Try to find something with video where you can easily follow along.
4. Have a good writing style. Does this mean you have to be a professor of English? Not at all! But if you expect to get paid to blog by getting lots of visitors to stop by and read what you have to say, you must write in a friendly and conversational manner that is engaging and interesting. It's easy to do, just write like you are talking to a friend.
5. Write regularly on your blog. Many people begin a blog but then just abandon it and move on to another project. Don't do that! You can make a mint blogging, really make a great income, but you must write daily or at least every other day on a regular basis. Keep it up and you will soon see some income from your blog.
